Alan Rickman is an extremly talented British actor who has starred in over 30 films. Alan's first famous American role was in the film Die Hard. Since then, Alan has worked steadily in dozens of films. Alan is now most famous for his role in the Harry Potter series, starring as Professor Severus Snape. Alan has also appeared a ton of other films. In Dogma, a Kevin Smith film, Alan starred as the Voice of God. In Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, he played the hilarious Sheriff of Nottingham, and was by far the best performance in the film. He also starred in the 1995 film adaption of the popular Jane Austen novel, Sense and Sensibility. Alan played the adorable Col. Brandon, and it's impossible not to fall in love with the Colonel! Alan is not only great at dramatic roles; Alan has a particular way of doing comedy that is not only fresh, but original. He's also voiced Marvin in the film, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Alan has also directed one feature film, The Winter Guest, in 1997. Alan's next project is Sweeney Todd, the film version of the musical, directed by Tim Burton.
